2010 Photography workshops by Nikos Economopoulos

Jerusalem

One of the oldest cities in the world, the old city of Jerusalem is a hub of contrasts and diversities, where the old and the new, the holy and the secular coexist.

Being the holy city of three great monotheistic religions, it has strands of history for Christians, Jews and Arabs.

The serenity of everyday life in a holy place of ritual observance is paired by a long history of conflict.

The wealth of cultural traces contained within such a miniscule geographical area make Jerusalem a captivating city.

From Jerusalem, one can make one-day visits to the West Bank or Hebron.
